A blue Suzuki Swift was in for a surprise as Traffic Police officer caught him using the handphone while driving.

This video was shared by Adam Abdul and it appeared that the blue Suzuki Swift was heading towards Bedok North area when he was caught.
In the video, the officer requested the driver to hand over the handphone on the spot and was asked to move to the side of the road to be dealt with.
A first-timer convicted of Mobile Communication Devices (MCD) driving shall be liable to a fine of up to $1000/- ,or jailed for not more than 6 months, or both. The offender may also be disqualified from driving. If convicted, a second-time or subsequent offender shall be liable to a maximum fine of $2000/-, or jailed for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both.
The offender’s MCD and SIM card may be seized to facilitate investigation. These may be forfeited by the court upon conviction.
