A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) serviceman who was off-duty was found dead in his bunks in Nee Soon Camp on July 28 (Saturday).
The serviceman, who was from SAF Medical Training Institute, was discovered hanging from a rope in his bunk and was pronounced dead on site at about 3.05pm by paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
His death was announced in a press release by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF)
“The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late serviceman. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.” said MINDEF.
Police investigations are currently being conducted.
