A bush fire broke out at a bike trail on Pulau Ubin, an island northeast of Singapore, on Wednesday (June 24) night.
SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) told media that they had received a call for help at about 9.18PM and deployed a fire engine, a red rhino and another vehicle to the site. They discovered that a piece of vegetation had caught fire and was put out by canvas beaters and water.
There were pockets of fire in an area of about two football fields. The fire was extinguished at 11.30pm using canvass beaters, buckets of water and fire extinguishers, the SCDF told The Straits Times.
No one on the island had to be evacuated, nor were there injuries due to the blaze.
